Improvised Sonnet!I once saw a man out at sea/
He was occupied trimming a sail.
When I waved he did turn towards me/
and said "I am out hunting for whale."
I gasped when I heard his decree/
and hopped into a boat of my own.
I made me own way out to sea/
so the man would not be so alone.
As the prow of my ship touched the man's/
I called out to him plaintively.
"Would you mind a small change in your plans?"/
I asked him, grinning hopefully.
"Instead of you hunting for whale/
sail ashore and have dinner with me."
Smiling, the man shoreward did sail/
and no blood did that day stain the sea.
